What OS system do you use, and why?
Personally, I run Windows for my work / home, with Linux for my servers (Windows Server at work).

Generally macOS, but I have a Ubuntu Mac Mini (heh) for monitoring things and as a docker node at work.

Katos I run the native Windows on my laptop but I'd change to Ubuntu in a heartbeat!

Windows 10. Because I got used to it.

Mirage This is what I use at home / work - I consider myself a Windows power user, and have scripts etc to automate a lot of workflows. I find it works well for me! 🙂

Agh this is hard for me, I am an avid gamer and prefer Windows for that use case, but when it comes to developing applications I prefer MacOS. I purchased an older Macbook Pro a while ago and I have genuinely enjoyed developing with it.

I am planning to use Windows 11.

Mirage honestly? Not really.
I knew the risks going into it, I just take steps to ensure that i am prepared for any failures.
Data is backed up, and I can flatten and rebuild both devices quickly and easily.

Windows and Linux, never MacOS. Windows for Home and Work, personal servers all run Linux and sometimes my home computer will run Linux.

Also already on Windows 11 on both my desktop and laptop, so far no major complaints.

Mac boy here. I have to use Windows at work. It likes to crash. Blue screen of death. But, that’s not necessarily Windows… it’s probably all the stuff my company adds.

Still, unfortunately, throughout my life I’ve had more negative experiences with PCs than Apple. My MacBook Pro just always works. Fast. And looks pretty too. Haha!

010101 your bluescreen needs looking at by your business IT. Most likely a software issue.
For example we used to get it on some laptops due to the full disk encryption software. We reported it and the supplier fixed it on the back of our report and logs.

Katos Yeah, it’s something our IT added I’m sure. They have all kinds of security software. Our company got hacked this year. Big hack.
